It’s difficult to enjoy the finer things in life (or even a simple meal) if you don’t have a job and you live in a junkyard. That is, unless you’re a sophisticated sounding swindler with the ability to con others out of their goods.
Dirty Dawg (a dog) and his best friend Ratso (a rat) experienced the day-to-day life of taking advantage of whatever opportunities fell their way. Although Dirty Dawg’s schemes seldom went according to plan, he relied on quick wits to keep himself one step ahead of the law — a.k.a. local beat cop, Officer Bullhorn. In general, things might have gone better for both Ratso and Dirty Dawg if they hadn’t been turncoats, ready to sell one another out whenever the going got tough.
Dirty Dawg was one of several six-minute segments on the half-hour, The Kwicky Koala Show. Other segments included Kwicky Koala and Crazy Claws, as well as one-minute fillers titled The Bungle Brothers that played between the longer segments. The Kwicky Koala Show lasted for one season consisting of sixteen episodes.
