Monkey Dust

Monkey Dust was a satirical sketch comedy show out of Britain that explored its subject matter mainly through the use of adult themes and dark overtones. Each half-hour episode consisted of multiple sketches created by several animation studios working in their own styles. Although the story segments were unrelated, they were loosely tied together by transitioning some element from each current segment into the next in order to create a continuous and uninterrupted flow.

Each episode delivered social commentary on British culture in a succession of skits, largely following a grim and bleak format, that covered a wide range of — often controversial or taboo — topics. Many of the stories and their characters appeared as regular segments over multiple episodes, although the regular sketches changed from season to season.

Monkey Dust aired on BBC3 for three seasons, with each season consisting of six episodes. Whether purposely skirting convention or merely for convenience in consideration of how the show was structured, the creators decided not to assign titles to any of the episodes.
