Precious Pupp

Precious Pupp was a loyal pooch to his owner Granny Sweet. The large, shaggy dog had a carefree attitude, but he proved especially adept at getting revenge on any who attempted to wrong either himself or Granny. Given that Granny Sweet had the disposition of a much younger and active woman–she participated in a variety of sports, and loved to zip around town on her motorcycle–Precious Pupp came across plenty of opportunities to defend her honor. His joy for the confrontations came across in an easily expressed, raspy laugh.

Six-minute Precious Pupp segments played alongside similar segments as part of The Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show. In total, Hanna-Barbera created twenty-six Precious Pupp episodes over the course of two seasons.
