Atom Ant was no ordinary insect. Possessed with super strength and the ability to fly, he assisted law enforcement agencies whenever they faced problems too large to handle on their own.

From deep within his private ant hill, Atom Ant received calls for help, either by phone directly from police, or by picking up distress signals from everyday citizens through the use of his antennae. With a hearty cry of “Up and at ’em, Atom Ant!” the tiny hero zoomed to action like a miniature whirlwind, overcoming challenges with relative ease.

Atom Ant was one of two featured segments on the hour-long, The Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show. Other segments included Precious Pupp, The Hillbilly Bears, Secret Squirrel, Squiddly Diddly and Winsome Witch. All of the segments were 6-7 minutes in length. After his own series ended, Atom Ant became a regular cast member on Yogi’s Gang (1973), and later appeared on Yo Yogi! (1991).
